XIII Books (An Arouca Press imprint)
XIII BOOKS is dedicated to publishing new and vintage works centered around politics, the economy, and the family. Named after Pope Leo XIII—the pope of the “working man,” whose pontificate was the first to comprehensively engage in the Church’s relationship with the modern world—our imprint was born out of the conviction that we cannot separate the Catholic faith from our involvement with the world around us, and that the social doctrine of the Church, whether explicitly or implicitly, requires a commitment by Catholics to transform every aspect of the social order in conformity to the will of God. We aspire to earn a reputation amongst our readers as a reliable provider of the best the social tradition has to offer, which is rooted in our allegiance to Christ the King and passion for sharing with others the teachings of the Church.
